Kentucky Woman Sent To Jail For Wearing Shorts To Court

http://www.wcpo.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=6a026ac0-7dc4-4335-a0cc-ce19f64f27a0

After reading post that was posted by another student, I remembered this story that I saw on TV.

I think authorities are taking their power too far now a days and are willing to put people in jail for absolutely anything. It's also crazy how celebs get DUIs and other offenses and only go to jail for a few hours, but they send a woman to jail for 3 days because of her wardrobe.

..I hope I did this right..!!

Just another waste of time and taxpayers money. Maybe she didn't have anything nicer, or couldn't afford anything else.

I have to agree with the judge on this one. Kirstie Arnold showed a complete disregard for the authority of the judge. The judge gave her two previous warnings, and I think she's lucky to have gotten even one warning. If she had even a little bit of common sense, she could've figured out that shorts are not appropriate to wear in such a professional environment. I wonder if she shows up to job interviews with shorts on?

This is simply ignorance, she deserves to go to jail for disrespecting a authority figure not only once but two times!
