8 Year Old Boy Kills Father
An 8 year old boy in Arizona killed his father and a friend renting a room from the family with a .22 caliber hunting rifle. The police have no motives but say the act was premeditated.

There has to be something going on for a 8 year old to kill his father and another person. This kids got to be pretty messed up and i wonder what else he is capable of doing. Mabey he should get the death penalty instead of sending alot of time and money trying to get him fixed.
woah...i am all for the death penalty but no not for an 8 year old...time and money to get fixed?...he is a human not a car or a computer...that money is well worth it
The real question is: Why does everybody have an easy access to deadly weapon? There are a lot of crazy people and kids all over the world, but only in US almost everyone can legally have a gun. Isn't it ridiculous?
I think this kid needs to go to rehab not court to seek the death penalty or other murder charges. Obviously there was some extreme reason for this boy to kill his father or maybe he was mentally impaired. You don't see many cases of people killing thier father, especially an 8 year old boy. Put this boy in rehab and make sure he's mentally sane for the rest of his life.
8 year old boys do not routinely kill people. Something is wrong with this kid. At 8 years old, I'm thinking there's a good chance to help this kid. We spend zillions of dollars to rehabilitate child molesters (which never works anyway!) Give this kid a chance. By the way, I grew up (together with three younger sisters) with guns in the house. My father was and still is a hunter. We were always taught gun safety - first and foremost! None of us ever thought to take one of those guns out without my father's permission. They were always locked up and not easily accessible. Where was the gun this kid used and why, at 8 years old, wasn't somebody watching what he was doing? There's your problem.
I'm not sure what is in the works for this kid but I think the right and sensible thing to do would be place him in some sort of detention facility until he is 18 and then try him as an adult for his crime.
