Lawyers as CEO's

I found this article about Lawyers turned CEO's interesting. Does law school, alone, prepare a Lawyer to be an effective CEO?

I agree with the article when it states that "Lawyers can be effective leaders of companies -- if they've acquired the necessary experience." You can be a great lawyer, but running a company is a whole other story if you do not know the core business.

I agree that lawyers can be effective leaders, but do they have the management skills and style to run a business? I do think that having a lawyer on the payroll and involved in day-to-day operation is a huge plus, but not running a company in it's entirety.
