Philip Morris Sues San Francisco for Banning Tobacco Sales in Drugstores

It seems like a law or ordinance is passed everyday to make it harder for people to buy and smoke cigarettes. I don't understand why they would ban tobacco sales in drugstores, but not in grocery stores that have pharmacies. I'm a smoker, and I can't seem to make sense of some of these laws passed... they aren't helping people quit, they are just making it harder for us to smoke.

I have not smoked since I was in high school, but I agree that some of these new smoking laws are getting out of hand.

I know they are addicting, but are they going to stop selling coffee and closing up Starbucks? Coffee is addicting.

I do not smoke and never have but I do agree that some of these laws are a little extreme. Afterall how many people die at the hands of a drunk driver each year? I don't see them shutting down bars, not selling alcohol at restuarants and so on anytime soon.

I think if they make it hard for everyone, eventually people will quit. It's reverse psychology in a way. Tracy has a good point regarding drunk drivers and the alcohol.
